Regarding GM. Ver Villasin
This is a quote of a statement from Cherryl Joyce “Teeling” C. Villasin-Tangapa regarding GM. Ver Villasin (from fmatalk.com):
Gentlemen, I speak in behalf of my family. I am Cherryl Joyce “Teeling” C. Villasin-Tangapa, the youngest of the 17 children of Atty Jose V. Villasin.
John Villasin is the youngest of 5 boys – Jesus “Jingga” (RIP), Jose Jr “Joey”, Bianor “Banoh”, Dennis (RIP).
Ver Villasin is the son of our father’s 1st degree cousin, Severino Villasin, Sr. He is also the godchild of our Dad. Ver is a dear cousin and is like a brother to us. Dad has been treating him like his own son. We are glad he proliferated his learnings of the Balintawak arnis to this day.
Thank you.
Teeling

I am the senior student of GM Ver Villasin. He calls Atty jose Villasin his father because of the way he treated him. He is proud to carry on the lineage of the Villasin art along with his cousin John. In northen CA. GM Ver Villasin has demonstrated the art at numerous festivals, community gatherings, colleges and public events. He has formed a brotherhood with other FMA styles in the Vallejo and SF bay Area and is highly regarded as one of the true Grand Masters in the aea having learned from the old Great Grand Masters. I am proud of him, John and Atty jose Villasin, whom I feel I know, from all the stories that GM Villasin shares with his students.
